This client had struggled for some time to obtain permission for an agricultural worker’s dwelling on his land. We were able to negotiate with the planning officer to secure approval for the dwelling in the officer’s preferred location. Then through a further application (working alongside a planning consultant) we were able to demonstrate that the dwelling was similarly appropriate in the client’s preferred location. As you can see this position provides superb views over the Derbyshire Dales countryside. We spent the next 6 months developing their architect's drawings to no avail, and a further 4 months working on a revised scheme before a satisfactory design was approved.
