Jon started working for himself in April 2000 going on to form the successful practice Pilkington McPhee Partnership in 2002 of which he was a director. In February 2011 Jon formed Pilkington Architecture.

He has over 20 years experience of the architectural profession, and is a profile member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.

He has a wealth of experience in the residential sector having worked on projects in varying size and complexity from simple loft conversions and extensions to custom designed private houses and barn conversions. He also has expertise in designing speculative residential developments. As well as the residential sector Jon has plenty of experience in designing industrial and commercial buildings, alongside many community and Church projects.

Current projects take him all over the East Midlands but he concentrates his core business within Amber Valley, Derbyshire Dales, and North East Derbyshire.
